Chão comum
2012"Usually, my work acts to release a certain potential already present in things and situations. In this sense, my propositions are appropriated and transformed by the context. Somewhere in this process, the subject/object's boundaries are blurred and the agency of things or systems becomes explicit. Chão comum (Common Ground) uses this mechanism.
The work is a small action in a system of production and circulation of images that is absorbed by another system. Through a shift of focus and a repetition of images of a scientific achievement, it becomes an allegory of failure and absence of an ideological mindset.
In which way is a common ground a matter of concern within a society (un)structured by proprietary gains and social losses?"
